There is an Information sheet (PDF 1.46 MB) for foreign applicants, which provides details on language prerequisites, a possible recognition of degrees earned abroad as well as issues concerning residence permits. The Saxon Ministry of the Interior (SMI) provides information on permits of residence for students in cooperative degree programs.

Apart from meeting the usual admission requirements, registered refugees have to:

  • prove their status as „registred refugee“ and
  • pass a TestAS-Test if no documents on degrees earned abroad can be presented. The TestAS does not replace the required language tests (in general at the level C1). The responsible examination office will decide on a case-by-case basis.

TestAS is a central, standardized study capability test. Berufsakademie Sachsen does not issue TestAS certificates. TestAS examinations can be taken at these test centers.
