Cooperation to secure availability of professionals in the region

Chemnitz University of Technology and Berufsakademie Sachsen agreed on a closer cooperation to secure the availability of professionals and retain them in the region. This includes a more intensive collaboration in the areas of in-service academic training and the transfer between science and economy as well as society. Prof. Dr. Uwe Götze, representative of the rector and Prorector for Transfer and Further Education at Chemnitz University and Technology, and Prof. Dr. Andreas Hänsel, President of Berufsakademie Sachsen, signed the corresponding cooperation agreement in June.

Data privacy statement

The following data privacy statement contains information on the personal data collected by Berufsakademie Sachsen, Hoffnung 83, 08371 Glauchau, Germany (responsible for data privacy in accordance with the German Data Privacy Regulation, DSGVO), when you visit our website www.ba-sachsen.de and use our online services there, and how this data is used.

As an institution under public law, Berufsakademie Sachsen is a public body of the Free State of Saxony. In addition to the General Data Protection Regulation and any specific legal regulations, we are subject to the Saxon Data Privacy Implementation Act (SächsDSDG) as of 25/5/2018. Our website is hosted on an internal server.
There is no service provider for maintenance and support. However, we would like to point out that data transmission on the internet (e.g. communication by email) may be vulnerable to security flaws. Complete protection of data from access by third parties is not possible.

Contact form

Our website includes a contact form that can be used to contact us electronically. If you would like to use this form, we will collect and process the data entered by you (name, e-mail address and message). Alternatively, you can contact us by using the contact details provided in the imprint.
When you submit your message, data is stored for the prevention of misuse of our contact form or prosecution in the event of misuse and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. This data is automatically deleted after 7 days and includes:

  • IP address
  • Date and time

The data is processed and stored on the basis of a legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO) for the purpose of processing your request. The data provided by you will be treated confidentially by us. It will only be used to process your request and will not be passed on to third parties except in cases where this is necessary due to the specific nature of your request. The data will be deleted after your request has been processed (i.e. after final clarification) or following an objection made by you, provided that there are no legal retention periods that prohibit earlier deletion of the data.

Logging, log files

When accessing our website, the following user data is automatically logged for technical reasons and stored in the log files of our system:

  • name of the retrieved file
  • date, time and status of the retrieval
  • IP address, time of server request
  • browser type and version
  • operating system used
  • referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer
  • The temporary storage of the IP address by the system is necessary to enable delivery of the website to your computer. For this purpose, the IP address must remain stored for the duration of the session. The storage in log files is done to ensure the functionality of the website. Furthermore, the data is used to improve our website and to ensure the security of our information technology systems. The data is only evaluated:
  • in case of a suspected criminal offence
  • in case of a justified suspicion of misuse
  • in anonymous form for statistical purposes, to optimise the website and for research purposes.

The storage and processing of the data is subject to Art. 6 para. 1 f DSGVO (legitimate interests). A pooling with other user data will not be carried out. The data in the log files are automatically deleted after 21 days.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies. Cookies are text files that are stored in the internet browser or by the internet browser on the user's computer systems when the page is accessed. These cookies allow the browser to be clearly identified when the website is visited again. Cookies do not retrieve any information stored on your hard drive and do not affect your PC or files. Cookies do not contain viruses, Trojans or other malicious applications. We use so-called session cookies on our website to ensure easy access to our web pages (CMS cookies). The operation of some elements on our website requires the identification of the accessing browser even after a page change. Otherwise, these functions cannot be offered for technical reasons. These cookies are only stored on your hard drive for the duration of your visit to our website and - depending on the settings of your browser - are deleted when the browser is closed. Facebook

This site uses social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook").

When you access our website, your browser sets up a direct connection with the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Facebook directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. We therefore have no influence on the range of data that Facebook collects with this plugin and thus inform users according to our state of knowledge.

To our knowledge, Facebook collects the information that you have accessed our website. According to Facebook's own information, the data is anonymised after 90 days so that it cannot be further associated with you, or deleted.

It is possible to block Facebook social plugins with add-ons for your browser, for example by using the "Facebook Blocker". This tool must be installed and activated in your respective browser.
